Science and Provable Reality: Unlocking the shackles of Religion

There is a very interesting group of links on Richard Dawkins' site; the most interesting and poignant (of the most recent) is this one:

http://richarddawkins.net/article,765,Saving-believers-Former-Christian-finds-calling-to-preach-the-good-news-of-atheism,Eileen-E-Flynn-American-Statesman

It is a line about a "born" baptist who turns to the realm of truth and knowledge, reality and science, and becomes an advocate for skeptical and free thought - tearing down the wall of religion and hatred. It is a good read.

One of the goodies in this article is as follows. The host is asking why a caller believes that Jesus himself delivered his son to him, and not biological copulation, and suggesting that the god-jesus-ghost conundrum is but a faith, not an evidenced reality:

"You're basically saying you believe things because they make you feel good instead of believing things because there's a good reason to,"

Go check it out...
