Sitting in my gracious living room, trying to pry myself away from the auspicious lightning storm that shows no wish other than to stay and to be spectacular, I stumble upon an old(er) article by PZ in Seed Magazine. And it is pretty darn interesting. It amasses some interesting information about evolution and mammalian structure - ok , now the hail is assailing my windows - and without realizing it at first links perfectly to a book I am reading (The Evolution of Sex) in reference to fetal self-abortions and mutation rates. Takes catholic insistance of anti-abortion to the science classroom, one could say. The book, not the article.
Worth a read. Im off to count my cervical vertebrae.
